Blizzard has announced the release date for Diablo 2 Resurrected as part of Microsofts Xbox and Bethesda Showcase at E3 2021. There have also been plenty of quality of life improvements made (including automatic gold pickup and a larger stash) to preserve the game whilst bringing it close to a modern standard.
For those who prefer Diablo II’s original look, however, you can swap between the new high-fidelity graphics and the original game’s 800 x 600 resolution with just the push of a button. Textures have been updated and the 2D character models are now very much 3D, which is a huge change. The first thing you’ll likely notice is that it looks great.
